Also called Mr. Capalot, or Polo Capalot the ace rapper from Chicago Illinois, started gaining recognition after he started releasing tracks on YouTube. The first tracks he released were including The Come Up and Never Cared and made his debut on SoundCloud with a mixtape, OFFICIAL POLO.G SOUNDCLOUD. Gang With Me, his debut single was followed by the hit song"Finer Things. The song was written by a prisoner. It became his most popular single and millions of people watched it on YouTube. It brought him into the spotlight. The major record labels started to display interest. The rapper signed a distribution deal for his record label Columbia Records and released Pop Out featuring Lil Tjay. The track received millions of users on YouTube and was ranked at 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 marking the first song to chart for the artist. Polo G gained fame on YouTube and other social media platforms such as Instagram as well as Twitter.
